i really admire how u stand up for urselves with the release dates and headcanons and shit. so many people think they can walk all over writers who are putting in so much work for them

thank you for saying this! i will say that we have received far more support than we have anything to the contrary, and we certainly haven't handled every situation that's fallen into our laps completely perfectly, but i do think there has been some mind boggling behavior we've been presented with and it's not something we were really anticipating having to react to. i'm beating a dead horse at this point, but we never imagined just how much attention this fic would get, and while it is so cool and fun and rewarding 99% of the time, there is that 1% that is unfortunately very loud sometimes. suni and i are sensitive people at best, and while we are good at ignoring when things get too rowdy, there are times that we have to put our foot down -- namely, when people are a) trying to stake a claim in ownership over this universe and dictate things about characters they had no hand in developing and b) putting us on a pedestal and turning our relationship with our readers into something corporate (not the band). to be dogpiled on after disagreeing with a headcanon (that was phrased as a question, mind you, and became a big deal when they didn't get the answer they wanted) or sent rude asks because life is making it hard to get an upload out are things that we think are hostile in a way that we haven't been. which again, is not to say we are perfect -- we get sassy, we can be really reactive -- but we both definitely believe in matching energy, and when things escalate we will rise to it. lol. we are so glad that we have this community of people who share the same passion for this universe that we do, and even more glad that the majority of that community is so respectful of us and our choices and give us space to be human, whether that mean standing up for ourselves or taking 6 months between uploads. it's been so reassuring to know that the work we put into this fic and this universe is not transactional 💗

Okay this is the last I'll say about it, I just want to say this before I forget it. I've seen a lot of people fixate on the fact that the writers had the Bug Noire fusion for the final battle planned for years, and they had to work to find a way to remove Adrien from the situation to make it work. Whether you think that was a good writing decision is not the point, but a lot of people seem upset over the fact that they came up with an idea first and figured out what to do with Adrien second.

That's... usually how writing works. For me, at least. I'm planning out an original comic right now and a lot of my process has been like "okay, I need Tertiary Character to decide that she can trust Main Character. How do I do that in a way that isn't forced?" and "I need the whole group to be there for the Big Revelation, but they all have their own separate things to be doing. How do I get them all in one place for this?" This is how I've written all my fics too. This is the "writing around that one cool scene I came up with" joke we fic writers all love to make.

Again, whether you liked the way things turned out doesn't matter in the point I'm trying to make. Just understand that the writers needing to figure out a way to get Adrien out of the way wasn't a dig on Adrien, it was just a way to see their vision to fruition. They had a vision from the very beginning of Marinette fusing the two miraculouses, so they figured out a way to do that.

Saw this prompt for incorrect OC quotes and couldn't resist with a bunch of my Breach goobers. Some of them would absolutely say these things word for word in canon if I gave them half the chance to, though. XD

They're in order of when they showed up in person - Qīng, Ghost, Red, Marisol, Shio, Cam, Daruk, Tawoos, and Alondra - as well as some important honorable mentions who have only been mentioned or gotten dialogue - Star, Blake, and Creation.

Star's design is a slight spoiler, I suppose, but it doesn't reveal if they're human or impostor, so it's all good. Creation's "design" also isn't a spoiler at all, because They can look however They want, LOL. As for Shio...some of you who have seen the body horror I've done of them may be wondering why they look so normal here, but I promise there are Reasons. :3c

and like I feel the same way about most people who say that they have experienced such amounts of trauma they just can't relate to others anymore, that normal people can get the energy to care about stupid shit but they cant, etc etc not because you can't be upset or hurt or traumatized by what happened to you but i think it's just myopic to the amounts of trauma and violence that happens in the world. like to put it bluntly 99% of the people I know have been raped. and abused. many suffered state violence. many had near death experiences. and this is not some kind of outlier.... of course money privilege passport etc. protects you from a lot of it. but the amount of trauma you would need to experience in order to be really completely unable to relate to anyone's or even most people's experience is WAY more than most people realize. YOU also care about stupid shit that many people would think they're too traumatized to bother. like both this and the "I can't accept help" sentiment just stem from an inability to understand others as fully human and a self-exceptionalizing that just gets on my nerves idk
